Seasonal Flu
Due to limited supplies we are vaccinating our moderate to severe asthmatic patients and our egg allergic patients planning to receive the vaccine.
If you have asthma or another chronic respiratory condition combined with a fever greater than 101 degrees with flu-like symptoms, (cough, sore throat, muscle aches, and nausea) we would like you to call to schedule a visit. If you have a fever and flu-like symptoms, but no chronic respiratory problems, please contact your primary care physician for medical advice.
We are not prescribing antivirals like Tamiflu or Relenza unless you are seen for a visit, or this is discussed with one of our medical providers. We are not recommending antivirals for preventative treatment. Antivirals need to be started within 48 hours of the onset of your symptoms.
Please note: Walk-ins for our moderate to severe asthma patients are welcome at all clinics during specific vaccination hours listed below, providing you are not egg allergic. If you are egg allergic, then you need to make an appointment.
